These are the pictures that I got painted for Bryce's Father's Day gift but was so excited when I picked them up yesterday that I couldn't keep the secret. They look just like the pictures that we sent! I am so proud of them and just wanted to share. Hank is the black dog & Jake is the chocolate one.

Eventhough she didn't get to swim or ride on the boat, she wore her gear in the cabin as we wished for clear skies. I don't think the floatable swimsuit bothered her too much...she is grinning pretty big!

Bevo walked out of the cabin & said we should be ashamed of ourselves. Tara & I decided to try out the box. It just made us laugh :)

We went to Clarksdale for Memorial Day weekend & even though it rained the entire time, we had a blast. We always spend this weekend with The Mitchells, The Abrahams, my family & Tara's family. We basically just laughed at the kids the whole time.

Almost No More Bottles

I will give it to Hayes. I only gave her sippee cups on Saturday and Sunday & she did great. She was only given a night bottle so she could take her antibiotic. She knows how to use that sippee cup...I think she was just playing me in the past. She ate twice as much breakfast, lunch and supper to get full but she did great. She was a little fussy Saturday morning b/c she didn't understand & didn't know she should've eaten more breakfast b/c there would be no bottle but she definately picked up on it by lunch time. She ate 3 lunches. That little girl is soooo funny!

12 Month Checkup

Hayes had her 12 month shots on Wednesday. She weighed in at 18 lbs, 13 oz. What a tiny little girl! She got longer and her head got bigger. She actually gained 2 pounds since her 9 month checkup but still doesn't weigh 20 lbs so he told us to keep her facing backwards in her carseat for a little while longer...what fun!!! He also said, "No more bottles & no more formula." That is a trip as well b/c I have been trying a sippee cup since she was 6 months old & while she enjoys banging it on her highchair or the floor, she does not enjoy drinking out of it. What a little mess she is! We are now brushing her teeth twice a day which she LOVES! She just grins and opens her little mouth. I guess that is all that happened at the doctor other than the shots that made her scream. She poked her lip out and put her head on Bryce's shoulder.

Playing With Gifts

After the party, we opened all of her gifts. We pushed the baby stroller that Turner gave her, wore the crown & wings that Robyn & the boys gave her, climbed in and out of the wagon that Kiki & RayRay & Noni & Papaw gave her & she loved all over the purple kangaroo that Joshua gave her & modeled the gown that Aunt Nan gave her. Now we are going to have to pull out a few more each night until she has had a chance to play with everything!

Birthday Party

We had a birthday party at the house for our friends that had little ones & family. It was a blast! Hayes ate so much cake that she woke up at 2:30am & wouldn't go back to sleep. I am not sure if it was a stomach ache or a sugar high! Christie, did you notice that we graduated in our bow size? I thought you would be proud. My friend Audrey whose little girl is in the picture above loves big bows so that is what she got Hayes for her birthday. She came to the party, walked over to Hayes, took her little white bow out and put a giant white bown in then turned around laughing. I have to admit that I love it!!!

Hayes has a best friend. It is my Dad, otherwise known as Cat. The child loses it when he enters the room no matter what the circumstance & no matter who is around.

I can't believe it. Hayes turns 1 today. Bryce had an early meeting & hasn't gotten to see her yet so I made a video of me singing Happy Birthday this morning when I woke her up. This will NOT be published! I did take some pictures of her on her special day. .
