Christmas in Jackson-2009

We opened gifts just the 4 of us...Bryce, Me, Hayes & Gus once we got home from our Christmas traveling. It was the most fun part! Hayes literally squealed out loud when she opened a pair of shoes. This little girl is going to be a mess when she is a teenager. The shoes were more exciting to her than her Mrs. Potato Head or anything other toy that she got, except for "Randy", her hip hop singing and dancing teddy bear that Daddy bought her at the hospital gift shop. He is pictured along with "Shorty", the singing something or another.

Christmas in Meridian-2009

We went to Meridian Wednesday night & Christmas Eve. We went early to surprise Papa who was still in the hospital from his concussion. And no, Hayes didn't get a motorcycle or a jeep. Those were Trey & Landon's toys that she is just enjoying!

Christmas in Clarksdale-2009

We went to Clarksdale the weekend before Christmas & then Hayes stayed Sunday night until Wednesday with Bevo and Cat. She LOVED her shopping cart & groceries from Kiki & Ray Ray & note that the baby sitting in the front from Noni & Papaw has still not moved. That is her permanent spot. She is still learning how to ride her 4Wheeler from Bevo & Cat & hates the helmet but loves to pull around her rolling luggage from Uncle Tate. I honestly think that her favorite part was pulling everything out of her stocking.

Christmas Card 2009

We took her Christmas Card pictures one Sunday morning before church. I gave up on having a Christmas dress on or having Gus in the picture. It was all we could do to make her be still. You people with more than one child, I just don't know how your cards turn out so cute with all children looking at the camera and smiling on cue. She was cracking us up.

First Haircut

Hayes got her first haircut on Saturday. Our friend Kristen cut it. She was having sections of rat tails & mullets. It looks much cuter now!

Riding Gus

Hayes thinks Gus is her own personal riding toy. Thank goodness he doesn't mind. She looks scared in the picture but that was like the 10th time for her to ride. She was laughing hysterical and kept wanting to get back on.

Nothing More to Say!

Judy's Trees

There is a lot where Judy and her husband sell Crawfish in the summer, Fireworks in July, Rocks sometime during the year (random, I know) and Christmas trees during the winter so we loaded up in the Jeep and headed down the road. Hayes ran all thru the trees, ate a candy cane, posed for a picture and then we were on our way. This is Hayes' friend Ty and his Daddy Cody.

Dinner w/ Lorin & Morgan

Sometime a few weekends back, we cooked out with The Trustys & Ezelles and we got some more pictures of the girls even though they didn't much cooperate. Hayes was too busy making sure that Lorin had enough toys to play with & that she had her paci in her mouth. Morgan was just so entertained by the toys that she doesn't see everyday.

Other Thanksgiving Pictures

Thanksgiving 2009

OK...so I am a little late in posting. I got the message today people. I have a lot to let you see. Donna, John & Conner got to come home for the holidays from Texas so we got to take another cousin picture. Tate & Hayes look like they have been drinking adult beverages but it was the best we could do.

Jason Graeber

Please send up prayers for a friend of mine from Clarksdale that was diagnosed with a brain tumor earlier this week. They don't know much at this time but have been running tests. He is at Tulane. He has a Caringbridge site that is listed under my websites below if anyone is interested in keeping up with what is going on. I ask all of you, even if you don't know him, to please pray for him, his family and his doctors! Thank you!

Colts Uniform

Hayes wore her Colts Cheerleader Uniform that my Mom got made for her to Turner's birthday party. It was a John Deer party so her color scheme was just right! Here is a picture of her in it. Also, here is a very cute picture of Bryce's brother's youngest child, Landon. I could just eat his cheeks!

18 Month Check Up

Last Wednesday, Hayes went to see Dr. Smith for her 18 month checkup. She had lost almost 2lbs. from when she was sick therefore weighed a total of 20 lbs. 6 oz. Dr. Smith said that as long as she eats good and she is growing tall, she is doing just fine. Well anyone that has ever witnessed her eat knows that she eats good. I was hoping that she would still be in the 95th percentile in height...ha...not! She dropped down to the 25th percentile. I asked if that was bad. He said that she was just averaging out & that from the looks of me, she wasn't going to be the tallest kid. I cracked up...what else do you do when your child's doctor calls you SHORT? Anyway, he suggested we give her a Boost each day to help her put on some weight. She also had an ear infection the she developed from the sinus infection she had so we started on another antibiotic. Hopefully her sick streak is over.

Talladega...NOT!

So this past weekend, Bryce and I were Talladega bound for his work trip! Now a lot of you know that this is like my favorite trip ever. I just think it is the most fun...don't poke fun! Bryce was going to meet my Mom in Winona Friday afternoon and then we were off. My parents were going to keep Hayes Friday, Saturday & Sunday nights & then my Mom was going to bring her back on Monday b/c she had a mtg in Jackson Tuesday morning. My Mom had Hayes her own "Colt Cutie" outfit made for the Lee Academy football game and then she was going to go trick or treating in Clarksdale. How fun!!! Well Thursday I got Hayes to daycare and as I was unpacking her bag, she threw up all over the place. I quietly packet her bag back up and we headed out. I called the doctor's office only to get an appt at 10:50 so we went and hung out at the house. We finally make it to see Dr. Smith and she was diagnosed with a sinus infection and we leave with a note that she isn't contagious and she can come back to daycare. Off to St. Francis we go. I finally make it to work (let me add that it is month end and budget time for me so no time to waste). I am just a working when I get a call at 3 that Hayes has a fever of 103. I call Bryce in tears b/c I am so stressed and behind. He picks up Hayes and they head to the house. This "Sinus infection" with 103-104 fever lasts for days so guess who doesn't get to go to Talladega...yep, me. However, the good news is that my parents were so excited about their weekend with Hayes that they packed it up and came to Jackson. They even brought 2 cars b/c my Mom couldn't come until Saturday. My Dad stayed Friday and Saturday and my Mom stayed Saturday, Sunday AND Monday! What a help they were!!! My Mom even took the little terror off my hands at 3a.m. Saturday night while she screamed & couldn't get any relief. Thank goodness for grandparents!!! Bryce thanks Cat and Bevo for taking such good care of his girls while he had to be away.

Bevo and Cat Time

Weekend before last, Bryce went to Starkville for the weekend & my parents came to Jackson to keep Hayes. Well, let me rephrase, we were taking Hayes to Starkville with us and my parents came to the Lee vs. MRA game & asked if they could stay and keep Hayes the rest of the weekend. What parent would say NO? The child never stopped. They went to McDonald's to eat ice cream, the park to play, rode in the wagon, went to the football game, went to Kroger and who knows what else. That is just what they took pictures of :)
