New Puppy "Gus"

Bryce went to pick up our new little guy on Thursday. He is a 5 week old Chocolate lab & he weighs 6 pounds. He is really sweet & Hayes grins from ear to ear & starts panting when she sees him coming because she gets so excited. How cute is the last picture where she has his head in her hands?

Baby Mitchell

We were so lucky over the holiday because we had plans to go to Memphis to visit Tara, Clay & Mitchell the Friday after Christmas while we were in Clarksdale & then Miller was born so we got to visit both babies (& Moms) on the same trip. Once again, here is Hayes trying to pull baby ears. Mitchell just didn't know what was going on right beside him while he slept.

Baby Kendall

Hayes got to play with Kendall on Saturday before we came back to Jackson. I think she is trying to figure out what a baby is because she constantly wanted to touch her leg, head or ear. She did the same with Miller & Mitchell when we visited with them too.

Christmas 2009 Snapshots

Here are some random Christmas pictures. The other baby girl is Anna Antici, my cousin's baby. There is a picture of Hayes & Tate watching a cartoon movie which is really funny & one where we put her in the bed with him & she just giggled. There is also a picture of her & her Uncle Wayne Christmas day & the bottom picture is all the cousins plus Bryce & Hayes on my Mom's side of the family. Conner (green shirt) lives in Texas so it is rare that we are all in a picture together.

Opening Presents

Hayes was so funny opening her gifts. She really acted like she knew what she was doing, but of course her favorite part was the tissue paper.

Miller Brooke Shurden

Baby girl Shurden was born on Christmas day at 2:11 pm weighing 7 lbs & 20 inches long. My Mom, Hayes & I went to visit on Friday & got some cute pictures of the girls. Miller has a head full of black hair! Look how precious.

Christmas Card

Here are just a few of the pictures that we took trying to get a cute one for the Christmas card. I swer I think I took 100! She had little candy cane tights on but the one we used for the card didn't show them. Thanks to Aunt Georgia for this adorable outfit.

Sippee Cup

We started giving Hayes a sippee cup with juice in it so she can learn how to use it and it is really funny. She immediately grabs it and takes it to her mouth but forgets that she has to tip it up. She starts bobbing her head & licking the top of the cup. It is so cute.

All by Myself

Last night Heather & MK came over to bring Hayes Christmas happied & Heather put her down on the floor & she just sat there. The whole time we were talking & opening gifts, she grabbed for stuff but never fell over. I had no idea she could sit so good for so long...I guess this is something she has been learning at daycare.

The Hayes & Cat Show

Bryce & went to Atlanta for the SEC Championship game with Brown Bottling this past weekend. My parents came on Thursday night to keep Hayes. We kept thanking them but I don't know why b/c I have gotten the impression that they had more fun than we did. She only cried one time, when Daddy put his glasses on. I guess it scared her. Mom said she stuck her little lip out and started squeling & she had to get her and calm her down. The glasses must have confused her b/c from looking at the pictures, she was with him the entire weekend...it was like the "Hayes & Cat Show"!!!!

New Friends

On Saturday while we were in Meridian, Hayes & I went to visit with The Baileys, Courtney & Joel & all the Smith kids. Hayes was fascinated with little Joel. Courtney & I decided that we may need to keep them in mind for one another for when they get older. Kate & Bailey can't wait for "the baby" to come to Gulf Port & spend the night. Bailey told Courtney that she would sleep in her pack n' play in between their beds & she would babysit! I took these adorable pictures of Kate & Joel with Hayes but then my camera died before Bailey got in so I will post that one when Courtney sends it.

Enough Hair for a BOW!

Ok...I am sure that most of you know that I am funny about bows & have never put one in Hayes' hair. I think the initial problem started when the nurses at the hospital stuck an ugly "ribbon" with KY jelly to her head. Since I had a C section & was stuck in the room, I was unable to do a thing about it. Bryce came back from observing her "first bath" with pictures of our precious little girl with a hideous bow planted on the very top of her head & she was crying...I wonder why...it made me cry too! Anyway, she now has enough hair to hold a bow in & the hair has gotten so out of control that it NEEDS a bow. I will admit, I think they are adorable now.

Oink Oink

Hayes has officially & successfully made it thru all the fruits with no reactions & she LOVES them all. She is not a picky eater at all. She was a success with bananas, peaches, pears, applesauce and even pruns however we will not discuss the poop the pruns caused. Look how proud she is of her pruns.

Little Pig

We went to Meridian this past weekend for a short visit & Trey dressed Hayes up as a pig. You can see the tail in the 2nd picture. She makes a pretty cute pig I think eventhough her hair is a trip. Looks like she may already need a trim.
