My Daddy

This morning Hayes got up & Bryce was tending to her. I went to take a shower. When I got out, I noticed it was very quiet & this is what I came across. Not much productivity taking place between Daddy & Hayes.

My Mommy

Well, I finally got Bryce to take a picture of Hayes & me. I have been burning up the camera taking pictures of her with everyone else in the world but the only one we had of the two of us was from the hospital when she was screaming bloody murder & I had on my hospital gown & we all know how lovely those are. Tonight I got home from work & she was sleeping on Bryce's lap. Bryce & I started talking about our days & we looked over & she was staring at me smiling so big. I guess she woke up hearing my voice & it made her so happy. It made my heart pound!!!!!! What a little blessing she is.

Bathtime

Hayes took her first big girl bath in the bathtub last night. She loved it! She was very fussy and we put her down in the water & she stopped immediately. Looks like bathtime will be part of our nighttime ritual.

My First Smile

Hayes has started smiling on purpose...not just from gas. She is so cute in the morning when Bryce changes her diaper and get her dressed for daycare. She grins at us & it makes me want to pinch her face!!!!

Meridian

Hayes made her first trip to Meridian this weekend. Papa cooked shrimp, potatoes & corn for us...in the house!!! She was so good & didn't cry one time! It was her first night to sleep in the pack n' play & it worked well for us. Taylor & Trey couldn't keep their hands off of her. I think they enjoy having a little girl around. We finally have pictures of Hayes & the McCarra side of the family. I bet Papa is happy now that he has made the blog!!!!!

Daycare

Hayes loves daycare! She started at St. Francis last Friday. Ms. Mae takes such good care of her. She has already gotten her on an eating schedule and since she has started daycare, she has dropped a feeding during the night so Mommy and Daddy are getting plenty of rest for work. Her first day at daycare both her Bevo & I called to check on her and they welcome that which is very comforting. I am going to take my camera one day to get a picture of Ms. Mae holding Hayes. I have turned into a camera nerd. It says a lot for someone who didn't even take a camera on her honeymoon!!!! Oh, well, I am growing and learning. Hayes turns 2 months tomorrow so hopefully I will get some good pictures of her smiling to post. We are also going to Meridian this weekend so we will get some pictures of Hayes with Nana, Papa, Aunt Robyn and the boys finally.

Playtime

I have learned to entertain myself! I enjoy my "Fairy Wonderland" mat...sometimes Hank takes over my toys!

McCarra Cousins

Hayes may not be the first grandchild on the McCarra side of the family, however she is the only girl. She is going to have Taylor, Landon and Trey wrapped around her little finger.

Friends

Hayes has lots of friends already. She loves for Hudson Bridges to babysit! Brooks Hardy tried to grab her face during picture time, but she liked him anyway! She and Vivi Gross just like to hang out.

Two Months Old

Hayes will be 2 months old on Thursday, June 26th...she had her 8 week shots last Thursday so that she could start daycare. She screamed bloody murder. It absolutely broke my heart. Her Mom, Dad and Bevo all went to the doctor with her. She weighed 10 lbs, 2 oz. and was 21 1/2 inches long. Dr. Smith said she got another A+...we are very proud of her.

Hank and Jake

The dogs LOVE Hayes! They are very calm with her and love to sniff her head. We were a little worried since they weigh over 80 pounds each and have been our "babies" their whole lives. We are very happy with how they reacted to the new addition.
