Big Girl Food

Over the past month, Hayes started eating pick up food & LOVES it so I let her start getting the plate lunch at daycare last Friday. Since then she has had catfish, vegetable soup, pizza, ravioli & today is steak fingers. Ms. Mae says that she eats every bit & sometimes gets 2nds and even 3rds. Watch out Sam Sherman, she is catching up :) Within a week, she has started to finally get thigh rolls & they are soooo cute! I can't wait to see how much weight she has gained at her next checkup. Oh, and she learned how to wave bye-bye...makes my heart melt!

My First Tooth...really First 2 Teeth

Last night Hayes grinned really big...you know the gummy type grin where you can see everything in the mouth & I noticed 2 white things. Yep...it was her first 2 teeth. They are on the bottom and they are coming thru the front of the gum instead of the top. I don't know if that is normal or not...but it is happening that way. That explains why she has been fussy in the car on the way home from daycare & why she woke up a few nights last week. I knew it had to be something b/c she usually is not a fusser. Now we know!

My Pal Gus

Hayes love Gus! She feeds him & crawls all over the house until she finds him. Even if he is outside, she is just happy to get to see him. Gus loves Hayes! He sits patiently at her highchair and waits for her to share & scratches on her bedroom door after she has gone to bed. They are so cute.

My friend Lila

Today, our small group had a community service project so Audrey and I got one of Hayes' favorite babysitters from St. Francis to keep Hayes & Lila. They climbed up in the twins' elmo chairs & watched baby Einstein. They are too cute together!

What Interesting Hair

Hayes has had some interesting hair in her lifetime. She was born with black, silky, straight hair & then had a rat tail. Her hair faded to brown & she developed a mohawk. Now it is blond with kinky curls all over. Thank goodness for a brush!
