On Saturday while we were in Meridian, Hayes & I went to visit with The Baileys, Courtney & Joel & all the Smith kids. Hayes was fascinated with little Joel. Courtney & I decided that we may need to keep them in mind for one another for when they get older. Kate & Bailey can't wait for "the baby" to come to Gulf Port & spend the night. Bailey told Courtney that she would sleep in her pack n' play in between their beds & she would babysit! I took these adorable pictures of Kate & Joel with Hayes but then my camera died before Bailey got in so I will post that one when Courtney sends it.
Above all, keep loving one another earnestly, since love covers a multitude of sins. 1Peter4:8

Enough Hair for a BOW!
Ok...I am sure that most of you know that I am funny about bows & have never put one in Hayes' hair. I think the initial problem started when the nurses at the hospital stuck an ugly "ribbon" with KY jelly to her head. Since I had a C section & was stuck in the room, I was unable to do a thing about it. Bryce came back from observing her "first bath" with pictures of our precious little girl with a hideous bow planted on the very top of her head & she was crying...I wonder why...it made me cry too! Anyway, she now has enough hair to hold a bow in & the hair has gotten so out of control that it NEEDS a bow. I will admit, I think they are adorable now.
Oink Oink
Hayes has officially & successfully made it thru all the fruits with no reactions & she LOVES them all. She is not a picky eater at all. She was a success with bananas, peaches, pears, applesauce and even pruns however we will not discuss the poop the pruns caused. Look how proud she is of her pruns.

Bananas are Yummy!
Well, Hayes really likes her bananas mixed with cereal! She finally got well so we started her on solids & I crack up the entire time I am feeding her. These pictures were taken the first day when she was still trying to suck the food off the spoon & lick it. She has gotten much better. Tomorrow we will start peaches so hopefully those will taste good to her too!

6 Month Checkup
Hayes had her 6 Month checkup today. She weighed 14 pounds, 15 ounces & was 25 1/2 inches long. She was so happy until shot time & then stuck her little lip out, turned red & screamed very loud. Even though we have been thru this several times now, all you other Mammas I am sure would agree, it never gets any easier to see your little one that upset. Dr. Smith says she is ready for baby food so we will start our newest adventure Saturday.
Hayes' 6 Months accomplishments:
*She can sit up for a few seconds and then falls over on her head
*She can do lots of talking and we are working on "Ma Ma"
*She recognizes us and gives us her very large grin
*She can roll from back to stomach and back over
*She can move toys from hand to hand & of course to mouth
*She recognizes our food and opens her little mouth like she wants it
*She can get her foot in her mouth
*She can turn around when she hears our voices
*She loves watching football
*She knows her name
*She laughs out loud when we sneeze & talk to her
*She can take her pacifier out of her mouth & put it back in

Rat tail
I am not sure if the word "rat tail" is 1 word or 2 b/c honestly I have never typed that word before in my entire life but that is what we removed from Hayes' head on Saturday. I knew it had gotten really bad when she was wet in her bathtub and her rat tail was stuck on the back of the bathtub. Bryce and I decided it was time for her first haircut.
