My friend Leslie had baby girl Lorin on February 19, 2009 & she weight 8 pounds, 7 ounces. She has the prettiest black hair which is really funny because her Mommy is a natural blond. Congrats Leslie and Travis! Bryce & Travis will have to swap C section stories once Travis "can talk about it"! We are so happy for you guys.
Above all, keep loving one another earnestly, since love covers a multitude of sins. 1Peter4:8

Getting Better
Hayes went back to daycare on Friday. Dr. Smith said she was fine to go back Wednesday & her pox were all dried up but we let her stay out 2 more days because her ear was still bothering her. I talked to our pharmacist friend last night and found out that mediciene she was taking didn't work if taken within 2 hours of eating iron products. Well, woudn't you know that Hayes drinks Enfamil Lipil which is full of iron soooo her meds haven't been working which is why her ear is still hurting her! So now, after she eats a bottle, I have to set a reminder on my phone for 2 hours so I can give her antibiotic to her. Would have been nice to know before she had already taken 5 days worth. You live and learn! Bevo & Cat & Nana & Papa are coming today because Bryce and I are making the plunge tomorrow & are getting baptized at our new church. Yes, 2 Catholics are becoming Baptist! Isn't that a trip?

They're Back!!!
Hayes had to go back to the doctor yesterday and definately does have the chicken pox. She hasn't really run much fever but has an ear infection & a runny nose. Dr. Smith says that this is a part of the chicken pox. The side effects are making her fussy, she can't sleep at night & she wants to be rocked everytime she takes a nap. Last night we were up from 11 to 2. The only way she could sleep is upright on my chest. This makes for a long night for all of those involved. It is pitiful but the good news is that the spots are scabbing over & she had a very light case, only about 20 pox.

Chicken Pox Update
Yeah! We don't have the chicken pox...thank goodness! The daycare took extra precautions & all she had was a diaper rash and bug bite (my diagnosis). She is back at daycare with her note from Dr. Smith to return and all is good! I think the fits that she was throwing last night were teething & growing b/c she is eating me out of house and home...ha!

Chicken Pox
I got a call from the daycare today that they think that Hayes has the chicken pox. I went and picked her up & she has a little dot on her face right below her eye, some bumps on her tummy & on her little booty (per Sister Paula...all I see is the one on her face). We have an appointment with Dr. Smith in the morning to get the diagnosis. Little girl goes from throwing back her head screaming to cracking up...I can't figure out how she can feel so good one second and so bad the next. On a lighter note, she pulled up on the end of the couch up o her feet tonight. I am not sure how she did that considering she didn't feel well. All I know is that it made her crack up!!!

Cancel the Mohawk
I know that you will be sad to know that the Mohawk is no more! Do not ask me what is going on. Hayes had a Mohawk on Saturday, Sunday, Monday & Tuesday then Wednesday, the hair just laid down like it should have been all along. I am not sure what is going on with her "lettuce" as her Daddy calls it, but it is an interesting item of discussion. Sorry I didn't a picture so you wouldn't think I was lying but I did have several witnesses. I hope that Mrs. Sutton & Mrs. Sherman aren't too disappointed! Looks like Miller will have to be on her own now with her mullet.

Mohawk
So Hayes now has a Mohawk. Yes, you heard me correctly & I don't have a picture to prove it but will definately get one tomorrow assuming the new hair is here to stay. I washed it Saturday night when we were in Clarksdale & it hasn't been the same since. She woke up with a true mohawk. It doesn't matter if you wet it, brush it, press it...it doesn't get better. This morning, I tried to tuck it under her bow...not successful at all! That hair just has a mind of its own. Apparantely it is starting to curl & just happens to curl straight up in the air right on top of her head...my little blond headed Italian!

9 Month Checkup
Well, Hayes had her 9 month checkup on Wednesday & weighed 17 pounds & was 28 inches long. Dr. Smith told me that she was only 25th percentile in weight but was in the 75th percentile for height. I just cracked up since I am only 5 feet & 1 inch tall. She did good when they pricked her finger. He said that her ears & throat looked perfect! We are so lucky to have such a healthy little girl. The ladies at daycare told me today that she was getting her "personality" & that she used to just sit there & cause no trouble. Well not anymore. They said that she can get out of every single bouncey seat that they have so they had to let her loose & now she just does her own thing. Her new thing is to pat around on her head until she finds her bow & then she sticks it in her mouth really quickly hoping no one saw. Oh and hilarious that her favorite show is the Golden Girls. We keep one recorded on DVR at all times & randomly play it and when the theme song comes on, it doesn't matter where the child is or what she is doing, she swings her head around towards the TV & smiles. She stares at the TV during the entire song & then turns & looks at us & smiles again. Bryce swers it is because that is all I watched when I was on maternity leave!

Updates
I know that I have not posted in a really long time. In case you didn't know, life as an accountant transitioning into a new year is not much fun! Lots of late nights & long days. I tried to get as much quality time in with Hayes that I could so I just never made it to the computer. Her Daddy has taken such good care of her...I don't know what I would have done without his help. Hayes turned 9 months old yesterday and will go for her shots & checkup in the morning. I will be sure to post her height & weight tomorrow. Also, she is learning to crawl & it is so cute. She has mastered going from sitting up to all fours. She can rock back & forth. She will crawl a little and then flatten out to stretch out and grab whatever is in sight. On Thursday, Uncle Tate came to stay b/c he had an interview at UMC for PT school & then Bevo & Cat drove up Friday afternoon. Hayes has so much fun with all her guests. Last night we went to a superbowl party at Tim & Drew's & Hayes got to hang with her new best bud Lila Thomas! They touch each other & laugh...it is so cute. We also spent time with Vivi Gross on Saturday. They ate Cheerios, drank apple juice & passed toys back & forth. I have attached a few pictures of Hayes & Vivi.
